Identity has many faces
and can be used in many places.
Who decides which name's accepted
When trust is short and faith rejected.
Part of life's panorama.

A cop out, as I can see.
Like acting, when I can be anyone I choose.
Or what the author, in this case me,
Decides today what part I'll play in whose
daily drama.

Of course, in my case, my name
will be Honourable and Good.
But should I stray and play a different game
And be a fraudster or a Hood
To take you for a ride.

So I may change from day to day
And have a name to suit my mood.
So if today I come your way
I'll give you food
for thought.

But wait, anything can be
Anything, false or true.
But can I be YOU
and YOU be formerly ME?
